Zandvoort Beach for Amsterdam

Visit Zandvoort

Zandvoort is one of the most famous seaside resorts in the Netherlands and when you visit, you'll be astounded by the diverse attractions it offers. Because where else will you find a wide sandy beach with cool beach pavilions, a Formula 1 racetrack, large nature parks with fallow deer and bison and an authentic fishing village with a casino and a cinema, all in close proximity? And a train station within walking distance of the beach, with a direct rail link to Amsterdam and Haarlem, which makes visiting Zandvoort very easy indeed.

Come to Zandvoort and escape! Swimming in the sea, racing a fast car, walking and cycling through the dunes or shopping for fun? Or you can go wild at an event on the beach or in one of the bars in the town center. Lovers of water sports can try kiting, SUPping, wave surfing, canoeing or rafting. There are several good surfing schools where you can take lessons or rent equipment. Why not rent a bicycle and explore the area on the extensive network of cycle paths. And afterwards, lounge in one of the cool beach clubs or eat an old-fashioned portion of fried fish on the boulevard while watching the sun set in the sea. Whether you stay in a hotel, guest house, bungalow or tent, you'll always hear the cries of the seagulls and smell the salty sea air. In Zandvoort you go to bed and get up in the morning with the sounds of the waves. That's what makes a visit to Zandvoort so unique.

And is the weather a bit disappointing? Why not visit the museum, slide down the wild water rapids or go see the latest blockbuster movies. The cozy town center with its lively shopping streets has an attractive, relaxed atmosphere. Here you'll find old fisherman's cottages that paint a picture of Zandvoort's turbulent history. You can go see them yourself or join a guide on a special tour. There are also guides you can join for a visit to the nature parks to hear interesting stories about the war bunkers and the many fallow deer that live there.
