Zandvoort Beach for Amsterdam

Sjors - 30 years old, entrepreneur Zandvoort - Pepsports

All my life I have lived in Zandvoort, I was born here. Zandvoort is a real 'us knows us' village. Especially the people from your own generation, you all know them. When I was twelve, I had to stop playing football due to an injury. Kiting was just emerging a bit in the Netherlands at the time and at 13 I learned to kite. At 15 I gave my first kitesurfing lessons and at 16 I started our kitesurf school in Zandvoort with Randy. Now our company Pepsports has grown into a surf school as well as an events agency and we are based in a beautiful location on the boulevard.

We work a lot together with other Zandvoort entrepreneurs on the beach. The diversity is fantastic, each business is different and has its own audience. I enjoy putting together tailor-made sporting events together with our clients. This work is my passion, my joy and my life. I love the seasons and seasonal work.

"Explore our village: try the unknown"

My Zandvoort tips

I enjoy the diversity in our village immensely. So my tip: get out of your comfort zone and try something different for once! Many people go to the same place in Zandvoort all the time. Go and explore our village: try the unknown. There are an awful lot of nice businesses in Zandvoort. Have a coffee somewhere different and see what you come across, be surprised!
