Zandvoort Beach for Amsterdam

Jody, 44 years old - Zandvoort resident

I lived in Amsterdam and enjoyed the pleasant social life there immensely. But it also started to itch, the next phase in my life was starting and I was looking for more space and quiet. And with family just around the corner, the choice to live in Zandvoort was easily made. It is great to be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the sea every day, the many outdoor activities with my family and sports on the beach. And when the sun shines, I also like to grab my surfboard.

Coming home from work in Zandvoort is nice every day! Finding peace and quiet for a while. I still work in the city. I am the initiator of WeCup: a sustainable initiative that wants to phase out single-use disposables. Perhaps you know the reusable coffee cup, introduced 3 years ago in Zandvoort at The Spot, Mambo Beach, Tijn Akersloot and De Haven? You'll also come across the WeCup in the village, like here at Blue Zone.

My Zandvoort tips

My most favorite place in Zandvoort for really good coffee, is Blue Zone. I can be found here almost every morning to start my day with a delicious oat milk cappuccino. If you like working out: challenge yourself and join Buddah Gym on the beach, next to Buddah Beach. Eat the best eggs benedict at Noble Tree. And when you're with the kids, treat them to a delicious sandwich at D'eight Zandvoort, my recommendation in the center of Zandvoort.
