Zandvoort Beach for Amsterdam

Carmen - 72 years, entrepreneur Zandvoort - De Bode

My grandmother was a Zandvoort native and our business "De Bode" is a family business, my son and daughter also work there. I have been an entrepreneur in Zandvoort for 32 years and personal attention is important to me. Regular customers keep coming to say hello and have a chat, which gives a family feeling. Visitors to Zandvoort say they like Zandvoorters so much. They find it special that people speak so many languages here.

"Having a bite to eat on the beach in the evening after a hard day's work remains something special."

My Zandvoort tips

I prefer being on the beach. With the dog next to me, enjoying the view of the sea, it never gets boring! Dining at one of the many beach pavilions is my golden tip. An evening snack on the beach after a hard day's work remains something special. The dune area is super for walking with the dog. You walk straight from the village towards the Zwanenmeer, where dogs can play freely during the summer, now that they are not allowed on the beach during the day. And bicycles are very easy to rent everywhere in Zandvoort, so go exploring! There are also many beautiful cycling routes through the dunes.
