Zandvoort Beach for Amsterdam

The most beautiful beach in the Netherlands

Zandvoort's famous beach is endless and there is something for everyone. With a direct train connection from Amsterdam, you can be on the beach within half an hour from the capital.

In autumn or winter, it is lovely to walk along the sea with your dog. Get a breath of fresh air on the beach and then warm up by the fireplace in one of the 5 year-round beach pavilions. If you want a bit more action, you can take your horse onto the beach in some places. Gallop through the water with the setting sun in the corner of your eye! In our beach rules you will find all information about the possibilities.

There are plenty of parking places near the beach but because of its unique location Zandvoort is very easy to reach by public transport. From Zandvoort's train station you walk within 5 minutes via Boulevard de Favauge to the central part of the beach. In need of a quieter stretch? Then walk to the north where Boulevard de Favauge changes into Boulevard Barnaart, or in the direction of the Watertoren to the south via Boulevard Paulus Loot. A ten-minute walk can already result in a sea of space and peace.

Zandvoort's beach is not only great for sunbathing, swimming and lazing around, but also for water sports. There are plenty of recognised surf schools and water sports centres where you can learn to surf, kite, SUP, canoe or raft. If you are already an experienced water sportsman, you can rent equipment or have a drink and exchange experiences with other sportsmen and women.

In spring and summer, this popular beach is easily found. Whether you want to lie on one of the beach beds for a whole day or enjoy a bite to eat with your feet in the sand after work. With 37 pavilions spread over 9 kilometres of beach, the offer is very varied. From luxury lounging with tapas in a trendy beach club to eating an old-fashioned portion of kibbeling on the boulevard. Would you rather drink a mojito under a palm tree in a Cuban atmosphere? That too is possible on Zandvoort beach.
